After a collection of heated discussions, the Educational Employees Union of Universities has determined to increase its ongoing strike, The PUNCH has reliably realized.
The choice was taken after the Nationwide Govt Council assembly Monday morning on the union headquarters at Abuja College.
ASUU had introduced the beginning of a strike on the College of Lagos on Monday February 14, 80.
In the meantime, spokesman for the Federal Ministry of Schooling, Ben Goong, defined in an interview with The PUNCH, that the federal government is taking all attainable steps to finish the strike.
He stated: “As for the following steps, the federal government has already established a committee to harmonize the IPPIS, UTAS and UP3. This ensures that the federal government pays with just one fee platform that coordinates all technical particulars.
“In case you make some calls for and nearly 80% has been granted, there isn’t any want to tug the strike anymore.
“It’s unreasonable for the strike to proceed as the federal government has achieved all the things attainable to fulfill a lot of the calls for.”
