Dutch club, Feyenoord, could trigger Cyriel Dessers’ €4m release clause following the sale of Bryan Linssen, Tyrell Malacia and Luis Sinisterra, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

The Europa Conference League finalist made €41m from the sale of the trio in the ongoing transfer window our correspondent learnt.

Bryan Linssen was sold for €1.3m to Urawa Reds while the club received €15m from the sale of Tyrell Malacia to Manchester United. Luis Sinisterra’s sale also earned the Dutch club €25m.

Dessers was the top scorer at the inaugural UEFA Europa Conference League with 10 goals with a further assist of two for the Rotterdam club and he also weighed in nine Eredivisie goals.

Feyenoord coach Arne Slot has admitted they have not given up on signing the Super Eagles striker.

“It is no secret that we now have different financial options than we had when we had to make the decision,” he told ESPN.

“We are always looking for good players. Players who have already proven themselves with us obviously have an extra advantage.

“But we have to take a critical look at how we are going to divide that budget. There is more money than two months ago, but there are also a lot more positions to fill than two months ago.”

Dessers got off the mark for the Eagles in a friendly against Mexico last in May. He has made three appearances for the three-time African champions.
