Stakeholders within the schooling sector underneath the auspices of the Early Childhood Affiliation of Nigeria have known as on the federal and state governments to revamp the schooling system for youngsters within the nation.
The affiliation said this in a communiqué issued after the thirteenth Annual Nationwide Convention of Early Childhood Affiliation of Nigeria, tagged, Ogun 2022 and held in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.
Within the communiqué signed by its Nationwide President, Prof. Esther Oduolowu and Nationwide Secretary, Dr. Olabisi Adedigba, the affiliation deplored that insecurity had disrupted youngsters’s studying within the nation.
The communiqué learn partly: “The federal government should take concrete steps to reposition the safety structure to stem the wave of insecurity within the nation generally and to guard the lives of college youngsters.
“Faculties ought to be repositioned to handle safety by offering needed safety devices and infrastructure, corresponding to faculty surveillance digital camera (CCTV and drone digital camera), speedy response phone providers, entry management gear, emergency alarm system, skilled safety personnel and gated fencing.”
In the meantime, a one-day coaching workshop was additionally organized for preschool and first faculty academics inside Ogun State on writing expertise, artistic writing, educational manufacturing and Jolly Phonics.
On the convention, Ogun’s State Commissioner for Schooling, Science and Know-how, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, who spoke on the theme of “Repositioning Youngsters’s Schooling for Coping with Nationwide Emergencies”, emphasised the essence of kids’s schooling.
The commissioner revealed that the state authorities was revamping the schooling sector.
He mentioned: “Pre-school schooling is the muse on which all schooling is constructed for sustainable improvement.
