The University of Otago helped train medical personnel as part of the Otago University Medical Corps. Between 2010 and 2011, Times Higher Education produces ratings independently from Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). Originally, this rating was only the top 200 listed universities and the University of Otago did not appear.
