Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State, on Saturday, inspected a 60km road linking a part of Kumbotso Local Government that links five other local government areas of the state.
The road, which is at over 80 per cent completion stage, is expected to be completed by the end of December this year.
The road links Kumbotso, Rimingado, Gwarzo, Kabo, Tofa and Karaye Local Government Areas.
“The state government will put all the necessary efforts to see that the project is completed within the stipulated time.
“When we came to start the project, we found that there were five bridges, but to make the project more viable, we added another two bridges. And all the seven bridges are completed.”
The road was the oldest road linking Kano and other places from the northern area of the state.
According to Ganduje, the project was aimed at easing transportation of farm produce from rural areas to various markets in the state as well as to take development to their doorsteps.
